Lemon Sorbet ~ Sorbetto al Limone

Preparation Time : 10 minutes + cooling   Cooking Time : 10 minutes Serves : 6


Ingredients :

  • 7 oz sugar
  • 3 lemons
  • 2 cups water
  • A liqueur glass of grappa (Italian liqueur)


Preparation and Cooking Instructions :

  1. Make a syrup with water, sugar and a lemon zest, cut into thin strips. Let it get cool and then add 3 lemon juice and grappa. Put in an ice-cream freezer for 20 minutes. Serve at once or preserve in the freezer.
  2. Cooks note : You can serve this sorbet at the end of a lunch or a dinner: for example when it's based on fish courses. In Italy it is also served between the fish course and the meat course in a very important lunch.
